CHAMPION, OPERATIONS STRATEGY & COMMUNICATION – Oshkosh

Synopsis:The Champion of Operations Strategy & Communication is accountable for creating, communicating, and deploying strategic and tactical improvement programs in support of the Oshkosh operations' vision. The primary goal is to improve and align the human capital of the operations' organization with strategic and tactical business needs. Effectively communicating operations' vision and operational plans to employees is vital to success. Minimum Education Requirements:Masters Degree in Management, Organizational Design/Development, Organizational Leadership, or similarMinimum Experience Requirements:Prefer 5-7 years experience within an academic related environment, or an environment where the candidate exhibited continuous learning and forward-thinking instructing techniques. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and be professionally experienced at speaking in front of small to large groups of people. Job Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes plans for improving human capital effectiveness
• Develops and communicates programs that focus on company values, operations vision, strategy and tactical plans.
• Publish and distribute professional-level publications that keep employees informed and aligned with business goals and operations' vision
• Implement programs that consistently drive company culture in-line with company values, operations vision, strategy and tactical plans.
• Coordinates, leads and executes the annual strategic planning process for the VP of Operations in accordance with the operations strategic model
• Works closely with business leaders, and acts as a primary communicator of company values, vision, strategy, and tactical plans to all operations stakeholders and employees to ensure communication effectiveness and consistency
• Establishes effective training programs in-alignment with business objectives and targeted at improving the overall professional and academic profile of the operations team. Coordinates deployment of training curriculum with the company training department.
• Evaluates business initiatives to determine steps needed to meet operations vision and goals.
• Must be well-networked with external academic peers and forward-thinking knowledge-base in an effort to develop future (visionary) business needs and human capital needs.
• Identifies and creates leadership/management development programs to ensure all leaders and potential leaders have the necessary skills to succeed.
• Acts as a change agent and mentor, providing the support required to implement major changes to the operations of the business.
• Facilitates team building workshops, exercises, or programs to enhance the cohesiveness of teams.
• Responsible for special projects as needed
• Leads business meetings as directed
• Performs other related duties as needed or assigned
